New Delhi: Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj has secured the granting of a visa to a Pakistani woman – who suffers from cancer – for her treatment in India.

A Pakistani woman named Faiza Tanveer had asked Swaraj to grant her a medical visa saying she should receive help since India is about to celebrate its 70th Independence Day.

“Madam, you are a mother to me, please grant me a visa for the Independence Day of India, please help me to thank you,” Faiza Tanveer said in a tweet.
The Foreign Minister conveyed the decision to grant him the medical visa on Sunday and tweeted, “Thank you for your greetings on India Independence Day, we are giving you the visa for your treatment in India.”
It has been reported that Faiza is affected with Ameloblastoma, an oral tumor that is aggressive in nature, and wants treatment from India.
