As expected, the demonetization looks to have hurt the film badly. The opening day numbers have come from trade reports and the figure is way below than what Charan’s last release ‘Bruce Lee’ posted on Day One.
As per early reports, Dhruva has posted around Rs 10.60 Cr share in the two Telugu starts, which is about 20 per cent less than the Bruce Lee opening day figure.
Here is the area wise break-up of Day 1 (Share in crores: Nizam – 3.26, Ceeded – 2.07, Uttarandhra – 1.32, Guntur – 1.08, Krishna – 0.68, West – 0.90, East – 0.85, Nellore – 0.41, Total AP/TG – 10.57)
Note: Numbers compiled from trade reports.
Coming to the highly anticipated US market, Dhruva posted $224K from Thursday premiers. On Friday, Dhruva has already collected close to $200K and by the end of the day it is expected to post $250K.
