Pak has reduced the China debt in the CPEC
Pakistan has slashed a debt of $ 2 billion (Rs 14.5 billion) in the form of investment in China as part of the China-Pakistan Financial Corridor (CPEC). It is now estimated that the new Imran Khan government in the country will have to reopen $ 2 billion in the backdrop of reports that the newly-recruited CEP project is worth over Rs 1 crore.
Railway Minister Sheikh Rashid said that if the CPEC and railway lines are the most important for Pakistan, they should accept the country’s debt trap. That is why the $ 8.2 billion investment in the country is going down to $ 6.2 billion.
