The steps towards golden Telangana
Hyderabad: Governor Narasimhan said the government is moving towards golden Telangana. He addressed the two houses at the commencement of the Telangana Assembly budget session. He said that the government is dependent on a large population of agriculture and that is why the government has provided 24 hours free electricity for farmers. Out of the 23 lakh pump sets across the state, 24 hours of free power is being offered. We are supporting the handloom weavers through the scheme. According to Mission Bhagirath, drinking water supply to rural and urban areas will be provided.
The governor said the government has a high priority to the transport sector. Last year Hyderabad Metro Rail was launched in the PPP mode. The first phase of the project is 30 km. National Highways have been linked with district and district roads. The government has signed a contract with 23 companies to set up industries in the mega-tech tile park to be set up in Warangal. The government has lifted power holidays for the industry as it has achieved considerable progress in electricity generation.
