India defeated the West Indies one-day series to win the series. In the first ODI at Guwahati, India Win by 8 wickets against Virat Kohli (140: 107 balls 21 fours and two sixes), opener Rohit Sharma (152 not out: 110 balls, 15 fours and 8 sixes). Shimmer Hemmeyer (106: 78 balls, 6 × 4, 6 × 6) hit a superb century. Opener Kieron Powell (51 from 39 balls, 6 × 4, 2 × 6), Shay Hope (32 balls, 2 × 4 in 51 balls) and Rowman Powell (22, 4 × 4 in 23 balls). At the end, Devendra Bishoo (22 from 26 balls, 2 × 4) and Keemar Roach (26 from 22 balls in the 2 fours) helped Windies to a huge score. The Windies’ 323-run target set India a huge target. Yuzvendra Chahal took 3 wickets in the Indian bowlers while Mohammad Shami and Ravindra Jadeja took 2 wickets.
